The Management Trainee Program hires college students and graduates, wounded warriors, current and former NAF employees, and applicants who possess either the education or experience that has equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Substitution of experience for education is permissible. You will have the opportunity to develop a managerial career in:
 


Management Trainees will undergo 24 months of on-the-job training (OJT) at an Army installation under the supervision of a trainer-mentor, followed by another 12 months of on-the-job work experience in specialty program area, for a total of 36 months. After 24 months of OJT, the Management Trainee Program staff will place you at a location where a NF-04 managerial vacancy in your specialty exists. There, you will complete any unfinished requirements and transition into your new career!

Applicants should have?

  • Desire to relocate to a training site within the continental United States or Europe.
  • Desire to relocate to a permanent placement location upon successful completion of the on-the-job training.
  • Desire to relocate at the guidance of the Leadership Development Assignment Program’s staff, typically every 3 to 5 years for career progression.
