The Marketing Division was created following recognition by senior leadership for an enterprise approach to marketing, and the contribution of marketing initiatives to Family and MWR's success. Charged with identifying, creating and delivering marketing messages, the Division offers enhanced marketing research capabilities, reduction of communication stovepipes, a standardized communications approach and a greater focus on the Garrisons. As a result, Soldiers and their Families in the active Army, National Guard and Army Reserve will be aware of the commitment the Army has for the All-Volunteer Force and the resources available to them. Primary customers of the Marketing Division include Family and MWR program divisions, Garrisons as well as Congress, the Pentagon, IMCOM and US Army and Family and MWR programs and services.

The team consists of professionals with diverse experience within both the government and private sector. Together they promote programs and initiatives, and launch campaigns from their Fort Sam Houston, TX based office to all Soldiers and Families around the world.
The Division is committed to enhancing research and analysis capabilities to provide more timely and actionable data, developing "turnkey" marketing materials for the garrisons to utilize, changing the governance structure to include the field and ensure their needs are being met and actively promoting the Army Family Covenant and Family and MWR brand, services, and products.
