Warrior Adventure Quest

The Warrior Adventure Quest program embodies unit cohesion and teamwork, provides stress
management and coping skills and leverages adventure activities like ropes courses, paintball
facilities, and whitewater located on and around the installation.

Designed for the platoon level, the program supports Soldier reset and re-integration by offering
a positive outlet for deployment-related stress during redeployment.

WAQ's unique delivery model strengthens two-way communication through Leader-Led After
Action Debriefings (L-LAAD) following the activity. This critical debriefing gives Soldiers the
opportunity to openly discuss their experiences together and candidly relate emotions that
arose during the activity. More importantly, L-LAAD is a tactical tool that teaches Soldiers
how to engage in open dialogue immediately following high-stress, adrenaline-producing
environments often found in forward deployment.

Since its inception, WAQ has delivered outdoor recreation excitement to more than 54,000 Soldiers.
